Hard Costuming Suppliers
Our new favorite place to shop for carcinogens resins and mold making materials. They're very helpful over the phone and shipping is reasonable. Located in the Los Angeles area.
One of our favorite places to shop for hard costume supplies. The people who work here can be quite resourceful if you take your project into them and ask for help. Most of their locations are in Northern California but you can order from their website as well.
We just started using these products. They require a little more know-how than Tap Plastics but there are lot more options. You also need to have some skill just to figure out they're not-so-intuitive website.
Wig Shops
CosWorx is a new shop run by the people of Cosplay.com. It's still being built up but has an amazing selection of wigs already and is our preferred place to get wigs online.
If you're looking for a local shop in the San Jose area, we recommend this one.
If you're looking for a shop in the LA area, we like to go here. They have a lot of other stuff too including stage makeup and props and costume bits.
Costuming Resources
Amethyst Angel has some great tutorials including how to make armor from craft foam and plastics.
Largest online forum for cosplayers. Great resource and a nice place to meet other costumers.
Takarazuka Resources
The official Hankyu Takarazuka website. It's in Japanese though so unless you read Japanese, we recommend checking out the links below.
